About Dr. Adair
I was born and raised in beautiful southern West Virginia to a hard-working, virtuous young mother. My mother’s young parenthood offered a unique upbringing in that I was raised by a community of people while my mom progressed through education, pursuing a career in healthcare. My unique upbringing nurtured in me a sense of community, an open mind, many different life experiences and skills, and a deep yearning to help others. I was naturally drawn towards medicine.
I attended college at Concord University in my hometown of Athens, West Virginia, where I double majored in Biology and Psychology. I then went to Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where I obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Doctorate of Medicine at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. I determined early in my medical school training that I wanted to be an internal medicine physician, as it offered me opportunities to expand on the extensive knowledge learned in medical school, to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with patients, and to provide me with fellowship opportunities. I intend to further my training after this internal medicine residency by pursuing a fellowship in interventional cardiology.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy many hobbies, including weightlifting, music (guitar is my main instrument), gaming, playing pickleball, snowboarding, drawing, watching movies, playing with my dogs, playing pickup basketball and football, golfing, and many other things. I look forward to learning as much as I can from life and using knowledge and love to serve humanity to the best of my ability.
I have lived in Colorado my whole life - first in Highlands Ranch and then in Castle Rock. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from CSU in Fort Collins before returning to South Denver to complete medical school here at RVU. I am passionate about making patients feel heard and working together to help them meet their goals.
Outside of my career, I spend my time with my wife, Mikayla, and our family and friends. You can find me rock climbing, mountain biking, or cross-country skiing. I also enjoy playing strategy board or video games, gardening, and woodworking in the garage.
